Experience

Javier has been a member of CPA FERRERE since the year 2000. He has handled local and multinational clients in the services, commercial, industrial, construction and other sectors.

He has broad experience in tax planning, tax optimization and structuring of complex transactions. He advises the chief financial institutions of Uruguay and diverse local and multinational clients in all sectors of activity.

He has given diverse seminars on taxes in Uruguay and abroad. He was national rapporteur for the 25th Latin American Tax Law Seminar in Cartagena, Colombia, on the subject of mergers, acquisitions and international reorganizations.

He is a professor of Taxes at Universidad Católica (Uruguay), where he heads up the Tax Consultancy program (Tax III).  He is a professor in graduate courses on Tax Benefits and promotional regimes at the same school. He was professor of Taxes at Universidad ORT (Uruguay), and was in charge of the course in Accounting Profession for the commercial-industrial-export sector.
