Advice on financial analysis of Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects
At CPA FERRERE we support our clients on all stages of the financial analysis of Public Private Partnership (PPP) processes.
The right financial analysis of PPP agreements is essential when it comes to submitting a bid in a tender, as well as in later stages, if the bid is successful.
At CPA FERRERE we support our clients on all stages of the financial analysis of Public Private Partnership (PPP) processes.
At the bid stage, we advise on preparation of the financial model and other documents required by bidding conditions. Later, if the bid is successful, we advise on preparation of the final Economic-Financial Plan and the agreement’s financial structure.
Our methodological approach
Financial models for such projects are complex and involve a series of relevant variables including different technical options, particular bidding conditions, reserves and funds, different financing sources and conditions, projections for macroeconomic and sector variables, etc. This means the financial model must be correctly parameterized to correctly define the bid price and debt service coverage, so as to achieve profitability for the project and its promoters, in line with the associated risks.
Our experience
We have broad experience in preparing financial models, and have supported top tier companies on bids submitted in a variety of tenders under the PPP Law (penitentiary, highways, railways, and educational infrastructure). We have also worked on presentation of private initiatives and on financial structuring of such projects, supported by the knowledge acquired through our involvement in a large number of offerings on the domestic securities market.
