Implementation of new BROU core banking

CPA FERRERE participated in the change of BROU core banking management systems by implementing Bantotal

Banco República Oriental del Uruguay (BROU) decided to launch a high-impact project for its entire institution, with the primary objective of changing its core banking systems, implementing the Bantotal solution.

The challenge

To implement new core banking modules with a minimum of errors and within the timeframes defined for startup.

The solution

The Software Quality Assurance service provided to the bank consisted of Testing Strategy Definition, Test Case Design, and Unit Testing of all Bantotal modules and functionalities to be implemented.

Additionally, the Data Migration system applied provides for qualitative and quantitative control of data to be migrated from the previous banking management system to Bantotal.  The qualitative control was aimed at sending data with format and distribution determined by the previous system, to the new system, applying the new core banking’s rules of business, grouping or segmentation of data, without forfeiting quality, attributes or information.

Finally, the chief objective of coexistence control, given the strategy of putting the new system into production in stages, was to enable client transactions using models in the new system while ensuring proper and controlled impact on the remaining models of the previous system.
